The fifth annual Women of the Vine & Spirits Global Symposium was held in mid-March, just down the street from our office in Napa, California. World Cooperage is proud to be a sponsor of Women of the Vine & Spirits – an organization dedicated to empowering and advancing women in the alcohol beverage industry, worldwide.
The goal of the Global Symposium was to provide a unique opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals taking action to promote diversity and equality, foster mentorship for future generations, and create a world-wide, all-inclusive industry. General, breakout and panel sessions were held by notable industry leaders who shared inspirations and stories from their careers.
World Cooperage General Manager, Elizabeth Van Emst, taught a morning yoga class each day of the symposium. It was a wonderful way to start the day for the women who participated. Several other World Cooperage team members were also present for the conference sessions and left refreshed and inspired to be a woman in the wine industry.
